The Opportunity
As a Cook, you'll assist with preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that enhance the daily lives of our residents. Working in a supportive environment, you'll follow menu plans, dietary requirements, and food safety standards, whilst having the opportunity to build meaningful connections with residents.

Your Impact
* Prepare, cook, and present meals that meet quality and presentation standards
* Follow pre-set menu plans while accommodating dietary needs and preferences
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food safety requirements
* Support stock control, food storage, and waste minimisation practices
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging
What you'll bring
* Previous Kitchenhand, Cook or Chef in a similar setting (e.g. hospitality or commercial kitchens)
* Ability to follow set menus and adapt meals to meet dietary requirements
* Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
* Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
* Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or similar) and/or Food Safety certification (desirable)
What we offer
* Casual Rate: From $35.78/hr including casual loading + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
* Part time Rate: From $28.62/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
