Our client is looking to expand their team and we are seeking a talented 3D Designer with experience in events and exhibitions. This is a wonderful opportunity to join this highly creative design agency who are leaders in their field. This role would suit some with at least seven years industry experience in creating comprehensive technical packs and construction drawings, installation guides, power plans, and high-quality renders for visualisation. You will be confident in visualising your ideas and designs through sketches, concept renders, and polished visuals effectively selling the emotive nature of experiences and spatial designs.
A core part of this role will involve material and cost engineering, ensuring designs can be refined to align with set budgets. Your role will be to source a wide range of materials, fittings and finishes, often requiring physical samples. You will be required to prepare detailed working drawing packages and conduct site surveys, ensuring design intent is met and collaborate with external contractors like fabricators, structural engineers and lighting designers.
You will be highly proficient in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop and AI software. This company is located on the city fringe of Melbourne. They work onsite in the office three days a week with two days from home.
This is team are currently seven people and looking to grow. They are a talented, friendly and fun group of people who work closely with their larger Sydney team so there would be a lot of collaboration.
We are seeking:
* 3D Designer with experience designing for events and exhibitions - this is a must.
* At least six-seven years industry experience in a similar role.
* Excellent drawing skills including hand sketching to communicate ideas.
* A proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
* An understanding of BCA and building and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must be highly proficient in Vectorworks for 3D modelling, visualisation and detailed documentation in sheets.
* Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Microsoft Office and AI software.
* Ideally this person will have full working rights for Australia.
* Sponsorship may be considered for a strong applicant who is already based in Australia. We are not looking to relocate candidates from overseas.
