Team Leader, Resorts (Clerk Grade 9/10)
Package includes salary $129,464–$142,665 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Ongoing full‐time role located at the beautiful township of Jindabyne and working around the alpine resorts of Kosciuszko National Park.
About the Role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Team Leader Resorts to join the Resorts Environmental Services Team and contribute towards the management of Kosciuszko National Park.
We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to providing policy, planning and operational support and advice to our senior executive, as part of environmental management around the alpine resorts of Kosciuszko National Park. This work facilitates the achievement of regulatory obligations for the resorts, including under the Kosciuszko National Park plan of management (KNP PoM) and the alpine resort leases managed by NPWS. You will also work in a strategic and complementary manner with a range of resort related stakeholders at a local, branch and state level.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in leading and managing the delivery of environmental planning and impact assessment, monitoring, rehabilitation, stakeholder engagement, environmental management systems and public health, including compliance in a tourism or resort‐based context.
Essential Requirements
* Extensive experience in the provision of environmental planning advice and the assessment of environmental impacts that demonstrate best practice management in the implementation of complex regulatory and compliance programs.
* Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the statutory environmental planning system and the associated NSW and Commonwealth environmental, natural and cultural heritage legislation.
* Extensive experience in the effective management of multi‐disciplinary teams working under pressure and to tight statutory deadlines while required to deliver high quality advice and outcomes consistently.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in the application of safety and risk management policies and the ability to maintain a safe and effective workplace.
