Queensland Parliament is seeking a skilled and reliable Broadcast Monitor to support the delivery of high-quality audio-visual broadcasts of the Legislative Assembly and Parliamentary Committees. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring proceedings are captured and broadcast professionally, supporting transparency and access to parliamentary processes.
This role is a part‐time opportunity, working 3 days per week, 6 hours per day.

Key Objectives
* Deliver high‐quality audio‐visual broadcast of parliamentary proceedings.
* Support reliable operation of broadcast and recording systems.
* Contribute to smooth, professional broadcast production services.
Your Role
* Provide high‐quality broadcast coverage in line with Camera Operator Guidelines.
* Operate control room consoles, cameras, and recording equipment during proceedings.
* Respond to broadcast‐related enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Conduct testing, troubleshooting and basic maintenance of audio‐visual systems.
* Assist with setup, transport and handling of broadcast equipment as required.
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Chief Reporter.
What We're Looking For
* Experience working in a broadcast or audio‐visual environment (highly regarded).
* Practical knowledge of audio‐visual systems and equipment operation.
* Ability to operate cameras, recording systems and control room technology.
* Strong communication skills and ability to prepare basic documentation and reports.
* High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to quickly develop knowledge of parliamentary processes.
Role Requirements
* Available to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
* Ability to work additional hours, including late nights during sitting weeks and estimates hearings.
* Ability to lift and transport audio‐visual equipment.
