The Team
Position is part of the new Rheumatology and Persistent Pain Service at Launceston General Hospital (LGH) enhancing access to specialist rheumatology services in Northern Tasmania.
The Role
Experienced nurse to provide leadership, support and expert advice to the health care team, ensuring efficient nursing care for musculoskeletal patients and serving as a clinical resource for patients and carers. Coordinate and evaluate intake, planning, assessment and discharge processes for clients referred from both the acute sector and community in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply contemporary nursing theory and practice to manage complex patients.
* Adapt and acquire specialised rheumatology knowledge and clinical expertise.
* Function effectively within a multidisciplinary environment and provide clinical leadership with professional judgement and initiative while working with minimal supervision.
Details of Appointment
* Permanent, full‐time day worker; up to 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable).
* Commencing as soon as possible.
* During the first 12 months, the selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies.
Salary
Base salary $114,851 to $121,886 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution.
Salary in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Desirable: postgraduate qualifications, current driver's licence.
