Role Description
This is a full‐time, workshop‐based Boilermaker role based in Gympie, QLD. The Boilermaker will fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel and equipment components using various welding and cutting methods. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, measuring and marking out materials, setting up and operating fabrication equipment, and performing quality checks on completed work. The role also involves maintaining tools and machinery, following safe work practices, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and production targets. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of workmanship and supporting a strong safety culture in the workshop.
Qualifications
* Proficient in welding techniques, including Welding and TIG Welding, with the ability to produce clean, structurally sound welds.
* Strong Blueprint Reading abilities to interpret drawings, specifications, and weld symbols accurately.
* Experience in Metal Fabrication, including measuring, cutting, forming, assembling, and finishing structural steel and equipment components.
* Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship as a Boilermaker, Metal Fabricator, or equivalent.
* Commitment to safety, including adherence to workshop safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good time management and problem‐solving skills.
* Previous experience in an ISO‐certified or quality‐focused manufacturing environment is advantageous.
