About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about volunteer training and assessment to join our team in a permanent full-time position based in the Wheatbelt South region. In this role, you will deliver training and assessment for St John endorsed courses to Remote & Rural Volunteer Ambulance Officers, supporting the delivery of high‐quality learning across the region.
Availability
Successful applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, as courses are delivered on these days between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Working hours on other days are flexible and will be arranged based on training schedules and operational requirements.
What You'll Do
* Support the Regional Training and Development Coordinator (RTDC) in the efficient and effective delivery of training and development.
* Deliver training and assessment across a variety of regional sub‐centres/depots that is consistent with up‐to‐date Clinical Practice Guidelines, using approved training packages designed by Clinical Education.
* Complete and submit course reports and assessments via SJWA documentation and systems.
* Promptly complete and submit course reports, time sheets, and other documentation as required.
* Support Volunteer Development Officers (VDOs) to ensure training is conducted effectively with required outcomes.
* Plan travel to training locations to ensure safe and timely arrival and departure, submitting formal journey plans as required.
What You'll Need
* Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
* Demonstrate a good driving history with no more than six (6) demerit points at time of application
* Certificate IV Training & Assessment (desirable)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and foster knowledge development
* Self‐directed worker, with an excellent work ethic and work history
* Flexibility in relation to days worked in order to meet training requirements
* Ability to travel to regional areas to deliver training/assessment
* Experience working with volunteers and/or volunteer organisations
