The Opportunity
PRM is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing operations team. This role will support the delivery of rail construction and maintenance projects across the Pilbara, working closely with execution teams, supervisors, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a hands-on operational environment where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in planning works, supporting onsite execution teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring quality and compliance requirements are achieved throughout all stages of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to execution teams onsite
* Review designs, plan and execute rail track construction methodologies
* Coordinate project activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery outcomes
* Monitor, report and forecast project progress through all stages of delivery
* Complete project quality documentation and project close out requirements
* Support project planning, scheduling and material coordination activities
* Maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients and stakeholders
* Promote and maintain strong safety standards within a live rail environment
* Assist with risk management, inspections and compliance activities
* Ensure project works are completed in line with client and industry requirements
Skills and Experience
Required
* Bachelor of Engineering
* Strong understanding of heavy haul rail operating requirements
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving capability
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Ability to pass a Category 1 or 3 Rail Medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Desirable
* Previous experience in rail project delivery
* Experience working within the Pilbara or heavy haul rail environments
* Cert II or III in Rail Infrastructure
* Knowledge of rail safety legislation and access frameworks
* Experience working within live operational rail corridors
