About the role
We are seeking a talented Junior Engineer to join our growing team at Tradetech Services (Aust.) Pty Ltd. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in supporting our civil construction projects across the region.
What you'll be doing
- Starting in an office-based role, supporting the field supervisors on delivery, learn all the associated processes required for the projects, from the ground up
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering plans and specifications for a range of construction projects
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and monitor progress
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates and other project documentation
- Liaise with contractors, clients and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Support the project management team with scheduling, resource planning and risk mitigation
- Provide technical advice and guidance to construction crews on-site
- Maintain compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in a civil engineering or construction role
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, design methods and construction practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively tackle complex engineering challenges
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools such as CAD, project management and design applications
- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A passionate and proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development
