This is a hands‑on Technical Lead role for an experienced .NET Engineer who enjoys shaping systems while staying close to the code. You’ll join an established in‑house engineering function that is evolving its platforms, practices, and ways of working as it scales. Working from Brisbane on a permanent basis, this role balances deep technical delivery with pragmatic leadership. You’ll guide design and architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and help modernise a large, business‑critical dashboard platform built on custom, in‑house technology. This is a genuinely technical leadership position. You will spend most of your time designing, building, and improving software, while providing clarity, direction, and confidence to the team during an important phase of growth and change.
What you’ll do
Lead hands‑on development across a complex .NET‑based dashboard platform
Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code while setting technical direction for the team
Collaborate closely with product, design, DevOps, and security stakeholders
Drive pragmatic architectural decisions and technical modernisation initiatives
Support and embed effective agile engineering practices
Mentor and support engineers through pairing, feedback, and code reviews
Own technical outcomes, standards, and quality across the team’s delivery
Communicate technical decisions and trade‑offs clearly to stakeholders
Balance short‑term delivery with long‑term maintainability and scalability
What you’ll need
Strong commercial experience with C# and modern .NET or .NET Core
Full‑stack development experience across ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and SPA frameworks such as React or Angular
Solid understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience working with SQL Server and T‑SQL
Background delivering and supporting enterprise‑grade systems
Hands‑on technical leadership experience within an agile delivery team
Experience mentoring engineers and guiding design decisions
Exposure to Azure and modern DevOps tooling is highly regarded
