About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant to bring your advanced expertise to our Perioperative Services unit at St Vincent\'s Private Hospital Toowoomba. The role works within our state‐art operating theatre complex, including our Hybrid Theatre, delivering exceptional surgical outcomes. This fast‐paced position works closely with a high‐performing collaborative clinical team and is ideal for a Clinical Nurse Consultant who enjoys mentoring others, leading practice improvement, and delivering patient‐centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor and support clinical staff within the perioperative unit.
* Lead and contribute to practice improvement initiatives.
* Deliver patient‐centred care throughout perioperative pathways.
* Coordinate complex patient pathways across multidisciplinary teams, working collaboratively with surgeons and anaesthetists.
Qualifications
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 5 years post‐registration experience in perioperative nursing (scrub/scout, anaesthetics or recovery).
* Experience working on a permanent part‐time basis (32 hours per week).
* Proven ability to coordinate complex patient pathways.
* Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing, Cardiac Care, or a relevant specialty preferred.
