We are seeking **Florists **and **Homewares Assistants** to join our haven of flowers and homewares within Hill Street West Hobart. You will enjoy focusing on excellent customer service, ensuring floral and homewares displays are full, tidy and visually appealing. You will be the first point of contact for our discerning customers, advising them on their flower, homewares, hampers, and giftware needs.
Your day will involve:
- Welcoming customers, assisting with their giftware purchases (including homewares, chocolates and hampers) and making recommendations
- Making beautiful arrangements to order, bespoke bunches for the store or specific customer requests (Florists)
- Creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing displays in aligned with celebration periods and seasons
- Fulfilling and dispatching gift hamper orders
- Operating scanners and cash registers
- Gift wrapping purchases
You will need:
- At least one years' experience in retail sales or merchandising. Experience in floristry or gift hampers will also be highly regarded.
- A friendly attitude, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- If you don't have a floristry qualification you will need to demonstrate extensive industry experience and knowledge of floristry skills, flower care and seasonal availability.
