About The Role
Costa is a major employer in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Program (PALM), recruiting and mobilising around 2,000 workers each year. This project impacts Costa's farms nationally as the Company aims to be the preferred seasonal employer in the fresh produce sector.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Manager of Pacific Labour, these new full time roles will be key members of the Pacific Labour Team (PLT) responsible for the overall delivery of our PALM program. The role involve working closely with the PLT and key site stakeholders to undertake a range of HR and recruitment related activities including:
* Recruitment planning, advertising, shortlisting and selection activities for our PALM workforce
* Working with sites to develop recruitment screening activities for in-island recruitments
* Preparing Offer of Employment letters and onboarding documents
* Significant people data and record management, general administration and reporting
* Providing advice on general IR and technical visa related matters
* For allocated sites, provide oversight and support to ensure the successful implementation of Costa PALM program requirements including welfare and wellbeing, compliance activities, incident management and technical program assistance.
* Travelling to the Pacific Islands and our domestic farms throughout the year, along with providing assistance at airports during mobilisations where required.
About You
To be successful in these roles you must be able to demonstrate exceptional initiative, positivity, flexibility, resilience, reliability and the capability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders. Every day is different, as is each cohort and country that we work with, so it is essential you are comfortable and capable of working with constant change and ambiguity.
Key Attributes
* A background in a recruitment / HR or related role (min 3 years FTE), including the provision general IR and performance management advice.
* Qualifications / experience in the interpretation of EA's/Awards and payroll matters.
* Strong planning and organisation skills with a proven track record of co-ordinating people and events and meeting deadlines.
* A commitment to compliance with the ability to positively influence stakeholders to achieve program requirements and goals.
* Detail oriented with excellent data management and IT system skills and experience.
* Team player with a genuine care and willingness to support participants and stakeholders.
* A friendly, positive attitude with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. This includes cultural awareness and sensitivity.
* The ability to work autonomously, with demonstrated initiative and sound decision making skills.
* The ability and willingness to undertake regular travel to sites and offshore recruitment locations.
* Commitment to delivering on accountabilities including working additional hours during peak seasons, which can be offset during quieter periods.
General
* The positions will be based from Costa's head office in Docklands, Melbourne.
* Min 4 days per week in the office and the option to work 1 day per week from home.
