The Design Manager (Civil) is responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the Water and Wastewater market in the ANZ region. The role will assist with project delivery, design management and project management, and help position and win projects involving a range of services.
The successful candidate will work with commercial, project‐management, engineering, and design leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of projects. The role also supports the water and wastewater team by developing talent, building design capability, and growing the section portfolio. Key to this role will be the interface with Global Delivery Centres (GDC) to improve Global Integrated Delivery (GID) capability and meet targets.
Your impact
The Design Manager (Civil) will:
* Deliver technically excellent designs and consultancy services.
* Lead project delivery on cost and time, resulting in client satisfaction.
* Assist with driving business development and winning work.
* Identify and support the pursuit of future opportunities.
* Develop and maintain strong key client relationships.
* Represent the team at client meetings and events.
* Collaborate closely with Jacobs client management team to identify emerging opportunities with clients.
* Further develop Project Manager and Designated Project Executive (DPE) skills.
* Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.
* Facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements.
* Engage with high—performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching.
* Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
Qualifications
Experience in civil engineering, project management, and leadership within the water and wastewater sector. Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects and to build and maintain client relationships.
