What's the role?
As a General Practice Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering clinical care and supporting the day‐to‐day operations of the treatment room. You will work closely with GPs, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to provide a wide range of services including wound care, immunisations, ECGs, spirometry, dressings, injections, health assessments, and patient triage.
You will also contribute to chronic disease management, preventative health initiatives, care coordination, and patient education. The role supports clinical governance activities, infection prevention and control, accreditation processes, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.

What you need to be successful
* Strong clinical nursing skills within general practice or primary healthcare, including treatment room procedures and triage
* Experience in chronic disease management, preventative health programs, immunisations, and patient education
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Sound understanding of clinical governance, infection control, confidentiality, and quality improvement
* Ability to use clinical software systems, maintain accurate documentation, and manage competing priorities
Desirable:
* Experience in rural and remote primary healthcare settings
* Knowledge of care planning, chronic disease management, and preventative health initiatives
* Experience with accreditation processes, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities
* Familiarity with general practice software systems and recall/reminder systems
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
