Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of optical current and voltage measurement equipment
- Design of manufacturing rigs, layout and equipment.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed (it's a small company).
Nature of Position
This is an ideal position for a new or near-new graduate with a broad range of opportunities to learn. The position is full-time or near full-time with the expectation that the employee will generally work 4 or 5 days/week during normal business hours. The vast majority of the work will be on‑site since you will be working closely with our electronics, firmware and optics engineers and scientists.
Qualifications and Skills
- Mechanical engineering bachelors degree or similar (complete or near completion)
- Extensive experience in 3D CAD design
- Good "hands on" workshop experience
- Valuable report writing skills
- A careful, patient systematic approach
- Good communications skills
Additional Advantages
- Experience in manufacturing, repair or similar.
- Experience in power systems and/or optics
- Experience in working with customers and engineering teams
