About the Role
Due to an overwhelming demand, we are seeking a self‐motivated Caravan Service Technician to support our rapidly growing Service Department. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work within a small team of skilled technicians through a diverse range of caravan repairs.
Responsibilities
* Brakes and bearings service on caravan
* Diagnose problems and carry out repairs/maintenance work
* Install parts and accessories
* Remove, repair, re‐build or replace items, including cabinetry and paneling as necessary
* Perform exterior repairs including framework, cladding and aluminum fabrication
* Install, diagnose and repair 12v electrical systems and components
* Examine and test operation of parts or systems that have been repaired or installed to ensure completeness of repairs
* Pre‐delivery of new and used caravans
Skills and Attributes Required
* A trade background or previous caravan mechanical experience would be highly advantageous
* 12v experience preferred
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Excellent time‐management skills with the ability to manage jobs with sometimes conflicting deadlines
* Troubleshooting ability to determine causes of operating errors and devise solutions
* Positive attitude, self‐confidence and genuine willingness to learn
* Commitment to safety in the workplace
* Reliable, honest and prompt
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Able to take instruction and work to deadlines
* Experience and competence using hand, air and power tools of all types
Working Hours
This is a full‐time position with normal hours being Mon‐Fri, 38‐hour week with regular overtime during the week and Saturdays.
