Physiotherapist - Team Leader (Level 4)
This position is a permanent full time position. As the Level 4 Physiotherapist – Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing a high quality physiotherapy service to NBH as part of the wider Physiotherapy team. The position will maintain a clinical caseload, oversee the acute, inpatient clinical wards of the hospital and provide support to the Physiotherapy service operating in ED and outpatients. The role will also be responsible for managerial tasks as delegated by the Department Manager.
The Physiotherapy team provides a 7-day service to all inpatient areas, these include but are not limited to: intensive care, orthopaedics, surgical wards, neurosciences and neurosurgery, cardiothoracics, general medicine and the emergency department.
This position will include participation in a weekend and public holiday roster.
Essential Criteria:
1. Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
2. Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience working in an acute care hospital
3. Extensive experience working across a variety of acute, inpatient Physiotherapy areas
4. Demonstrated provision of excellent clinical care related to patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and contemporary evidence based practice in Physiotherapy
5. Demonstrated ability and previous experience in providing leadership to a designated clinical area and department
6. Demonstrated participation in driving service development and quality improvement within a Physiotherapy Department
7. Ability to work with other senior staff and Physiotherapy Manager on issues such as workload and staff management and strategic planning
8. Experience in providing supervision and mentoring to junior Physiotherapy staff and students
9. Excellent time management, communication and organisation skills
