ARTC is one of the country's largest rail network owners, proud to keep Australia's future transport on track. We manage movement of over 415 freight and passenger trains across five states, 9,600 km of track, 39 worksites and the lands of more than 50 First Nations.
About the Team
When you join the Infrastructure Projects team you help deliver Australia's future rail network. The team focuses on delivery of critical construction projects, including a $2 billion Network Investment Program developed with the Australian Government, and plays a pivotal role in improving network performance and resilience.
About the Opportunity
* Lead commercial strategy across a $2.5 B+ portfolio of nationally significant infrastructure projects.
* Drive major procurement, contract negotiation, and market engagement activities.
* Provide commercial assurance and strategic advice to senior executives and project leaders.
* Lead the management of complex claims, disputes, variations, and commercial risk.
* Build and develop a high‐performing commercial and contract management team.
* Influence project outcomes through strong governance, commercial planning, and stakeholder engagement.
* Partner with Legal, Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Delivery teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
* Champion continuous improvement in commercial processes, systems and contract administration practices.
What do we want from you?
* Degree qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Extensive experience in commercial management within major infrastructure, construction, transport, utilities or resources projects.
* Proven success leading delivery strategy, procurement, contract negotiation and contract administration for large‐scale capital projects.
* Strong expertise in commercial risk management, claims assessment and proactive dispute resolution.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Highly developed commercial acumen, analytical capability and strategic thinking.
* Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to develop teams and strengthen commercial capability.
* Strong understanding of commercial governance, contract management and project delivery frameworks.
