Your new role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be part of a dynamic Facilities Management team responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, mechanical plant, and select medical equipment. Your day-to-day will include:
* Reactive and preventative maintenance of hospital equipment, plant equipment, pumps, motors, bearing replacements
* Repairs of hospital theatre & ward equipment
* Fault diagnosis and minor repairs of trolleys, wheelchairs, patient appliances
* HVAC filter replacements
* TIG welding stainless steel
* Supporting the facilities team with building and infrastructure upkeep
* Building maintenance
* No two days will be the same
What you'll need to succeed
* Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (highly desirable)
* Current police check
* Triple COVID vaccination
* Well presented & good communciaiton skills
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
