Recruitment Officer

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

- 2x Temporary Full-Time positions until December 2026
- Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
- Clerk Grade 3/4 - $84,659 to $92,701 plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

- Support end-to-end recruitment with fast, accurate admin and stakeholder service
- Manage records, reports and systems to keep recruitment compliant and on track
- Respond to enquiries and coordinate meetings to keep the team running smoothly

The Corporate Recruitment function is accountable for the management of the complete recruitment lifecycle, including resourcing requirements, candidate sourcing and talent pooling, assessment and appointment and mobility. This function is responsible for the design and delivery of talent acquisition strategies, policies and procedures for corporate recruitment. The function provides expert advisory services in supporting hiring managers across a range of issues that impact on the recruitment including specialist recruitment programs.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in administration, recruitment support or HR coordination within a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records, data and systems accurately
- Confident communicator who builds positive relationships with stakeholders and candidates
- Well-organised with the ability to juggle competing deadlines and priorities
- Tech-savvy with experience using HR systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.

Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa). Ongoing (permanent) roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens, while temporary roles welcome applicants with a visa.
