Overview
The Cairns Convention Centre is a venue hosting major conferences and events. As a Security Coordinator you will help ensure events and operations are delivered in a safe environment within a world-class venue managed by Legends Global.
No two days are the same, with a calendar of conferences, concerts, sports, banquets and public events. You will be part of a professional team delivering excellence in security and safety across our venue.
Responsibilities
* Operate the security control room and manage the security front desk
* Assist in the management of emergency services and evacuation procedures
* Conduct building opening and closing procedures
* Maintain the overall security of the Centre at all times
* Keep security documentation and manuals up to date, ensuring they are accurate
* Support the coordination of event security
About You / Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a security role
* Enjoy working flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
* Current Class 1 Security licence
* Valid Responsible Services of Alcohol, First Aid and CPR Certification
* Commitment to safety and wellbeing of yourself, team and clients
* Knowledge of venue operations and event security is advantageous
Requirements
* A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required
* Valid working rights in Australia
