## Fleet Maintenance & Repair ControllerSolicitarremote type: Híbridolocations: Victoria, Australiatime type: A tiempo completoposted on: Publicado hoyjob requisition id: JR111817## ## **Job Description**Europcar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a **Fleet Maintenance & Repair Controller**to join our Fleet team in a **full time capacity** based in **Head Office, Tullamarine Victoria.**The Fleet Maintenance & Repair Controller coordinates and oversees all vehicle maintenance and repair activities across the rental fleet. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality repairs by managing quote allocation, monitoring repair costs, and working closely with assessors, repairers, and suppliers. The position plays a critical role in minimizing vehicle downtime while maintaining safety, compliance, and service standards.**Some of the key responsibilities include:**Maintenance Coordination & Quote Allocation* Allocate repair and maintenance jobs to approved repairers based on cost, availability, and performance.* Review and approve repair quotes to ensure accuracy, necessity of work, and competitive pricing.* Prioritize urgent repairs to minimize fleet downtime and maximize vehicle availability.Cost Analysis & Control* Act as a cost analyst for all maintenance and repair activities.* Benchmark and validate pricing for parts, labor, and external services to ensure fair and competitive rates.* Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies without compromising quality or safety.* Monitor repair spend against budget and report on variances.Supplier & Stakeholder Management* Liaise with assessors, repairers, parts suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow.* Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers to drive performance and accountability.* Negotiate pricing and service level agreements where applicable.Quality & Compliance Oversight* Ensure all repairs meet company standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.* Conduct quality checks and follow up on any rework or discrepancies.* Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, costs, and supplier performance.Operational Efficiency* Track vehicle downtime and implement strategies to improve turnaround times.* Streamline processes for faster approvals, repairs, and returns to service.* Support continuous improvement initiatives within fleet operations.Reporting & Administration* Prepare regular reports on maintenance activity, costs, supplier performance, and KPIs.* Maintain systems and documentation related to fleet repairs and servicing.* Assist in forecasting maintenance needs and budgeting.**To be considered for this position you should possess:*** Experience in fleet management, automotive repair coordination, or a similar role.* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, parts, and repair processes.* Proven ability in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial oversight.* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.* Strong attention to detail and decision-making capability.* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.* Proficiency in fleet management system**In return, the successful candidate will receive:*** Ongoing training and career development opportunities* Work with a global brand across AU/NZ and beyond* Six weeks' employer-paid parental leave (in addition to government entitlements)* Proudly ranked in the Top 30 of the 2025 GoodCompany Awards* Access same-day pay through our financial wellbeing partner* Earn cash rewards via our Employee Referral Program* Discounts on private health insurance with Bupa* Enjoy car rental, gym, flu shot and other exclusive employee discounts* Access travel perks through Accor's All Heartists program* 24/7 wellbeing support via EAP and the Calm App
