**About the Role**
The Group Manager is responsible for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets for a leading Australian Property Developer. To achieve the necessary level of consistency, quality, and data protection to fulfil overall business goals, the role will concentrate on creating and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practises.
This role is offering $180k plus super plus 20% bonus, based in Sydney + WFH.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Create and oversee an implementation road map for enterprise data governance that outlines strategic objectives for the advancement of information-based capabilities
- Establish a framework for enterprise-wide data governance with a focus on enhancing data quality and safeguarding sensitive data by making changes to organisational behaviour policies, standards, and guidelines as well as governance metrics, procedures, associated tools, and data architecture
- Establish explicit accountability for the stewardship of the main information assets of the firm and define roles and duties linked to data governance
- Ensure that data-related business requirements for securing sensitive data are properly defined, communicated, fully understood, and taken into account as part of operational prioritisation and planning, act as a liaison between business units, functional areas, and the digital teams
**Key Skills**
- Track record of success in managing data governance and working with senior management
- Substantial background in data governance-focused digital roles, including leading a team
- Understanding of data governance procedures, commercial and technological challenges associated with managing enterprise information assets, and data protection techniques
- Good stakeholder management and communication capabilities
