About the Role
Working closely with the Director of the Snowsports Academy, the Snowsports Academy Teacher supports students academically, pastorally, and athletically during the 9‐week residential program.
Responsibilities include delivering a high‐quality residential snowsports experience and fostering resilience, teamwork, independence and personal growth among students.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide academic support during study sessions and study days
* Supervise on‐mountain training sessions and competitions
* Support the wellbeing and pastoral care of students
* Assist with the administration and logistics of the Snowsports program
* Assist with transport operations to and from the slopes and events
* Facilitate safe and engaging outdoor learning experiences
* Monitor student participation, achievement and safety
* Contribute to risk management and emergency procedures
* Participate fully in campus supervision duties and residential life
* Support the delivery of online classroom learning
* Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff

* The ability to lead and manage groups in alpine and outdoor environments

Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified classroom teacher
* Demonstrated experience in outdoor education and/or snowsports activities
* Current LR Licence (25‐seater bus)
Desirable Qualifications
* Ski or Snowboard Instructor certification
Working Conditions
This is a full‐time residential position operating across a 9‐week winter program at Lions Lair Lodge, Smiggin Holes. The role requires working a seven‐day week during the program, with one scheduled weekend off, and participation in the life of the Snowsports Academy community beyond standard school hours.
