Join the team at Geographe Civil as a full‐time Civil Excavator Operator based in Bunbury Western Australia. In this key role, you will operate excavators and plant machinery to support critical civil construction projects, delivering high‐quality infrastructure for the local community.
What you'll be doing
* Operate excavators and other plant to carry out civil construction tasks such as site preparation, earthworks, trenching work.
* Perform precision excavation, trenching, drainage, bulk earthworks and road construction tasks.
* Follow site plans, project specifications and safety procedures.
* Deliver works safely and efficiently to support the successful completion of upcoming contracts.
* Coordinate with site supervisors and the broader construction team to ensure projects are completed to a high standard.
* Identify and report any issues or faults with equipment for prompt repairs.
* Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and environmental regulations on site.
What we're looking for
* Significant experience as an Excavator Operator within a civil construction environment.
* Valid HR / HC Licence.
* White / Blue construction card.
* Excavator and relevant machinery tickets with demonstrated operating experience.
* Strong understanding of civil construction processes and adaptability to reactive work environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
* Ability to pass a full pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
* Excellent problem‐solving skills and ability to work autonomously as well as with a team.
* Commitment to workplace health and safety and proven track record of safe operating practices.
