An outstanding executive leadership opportunity is available with the Tasmanian Department of Health for an experienced medical leader to join the hospital executive team as Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) across North West Tasmania.
Location: Burnie TAS
Contract: Fixed-Term Full-Time – 3 Years
Hours: Up to 76 hours per fortnight
Remuneration: Up to $310,389 p.a. + superannuation + substantial executive allowances
This senior leadership position plays a critical role in shaping clinical governance, medical workforce strategy, patient safety and whole-of-system healthcare delivery across the North West region of Tasmania.
The Role
* Provide strategic medical leadership across the organisation
* Lead clinical governance, patient safety and quality initiatives
* Drive workforce strategy and medical service planning
* Support patient flow and system-wide operational improvement
* Work collaboratively with Clinical Directors and multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to statewide service delivery and innovation

* Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
Desirable qualifications include:
