About the Role
Our industry partner, Steakhouse Wetherill Park Pty Ltd, is seeking skilled and passionate Chefs to join their dynamic kitchen team. This hands-on position involves the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of steakhouse dishes, with a strong focus on quality meats, bold flavours, and consistent presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preparation and cooking of menu items, including steaks, ribs, burgers, and sides, under the direction of the Senior Chef.
- Ensure consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation across all service periods.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently for both à la carte and function service.
- Collaborate with senior kitchen staff to innovate and improve menu offerings and kitchen workflow.
- Support stock control measures and contribute to the reduction of food waste.
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards and procedures, including HACCP compliance.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required.
- Previous experience in a steakhouse, grill, or high-volume casual dining restaurant is highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of meat preparation, grilling techniques, and flavour balancing.
- Ability to consistently follow recipes and deliver high-quality, well-presented dishes.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to consistency.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
