Responsibilities
* Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
* The implementation of preventative maintenance.
* Responding to radio calls from Ops teams on urgent breakdown or repair works
* Filling in and completing Work Orders on SAP CMMS
* Engaging in team safety initiatives such as Task 5 review
* Ensure appropriate safety tools are used when performing maintenance works (LOTO, TAKE 5)
* Reporting hazards and repairs to maintenance supervisors
Our trade qualified fitters are employed to perform the above mentioned duties and tasks on existing assets owned by JBS Brooklyn, anything outside of this scope will generally be allocated to contract installation companies through our capital process. The scope of this work is generally installation of new assets (Power, Air, Installation, Relocation, Construction)
Qualifications
* Fitter and turner trade qualification and post-trade experience of at least 2 years, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Understand work planning and scheduling procedures.
