Overview
The role is part of a 12‐week paid summer Vacation Program (Nov 2026 – Feb 2027) designed to develop future graduates and assess career direction for prospective hydrographic surveyors.
Responsibilities
* Office‐based assistance with preparation of data deliverables from surveys, including processing of multibeam bathymetry data, CAD and GIS work, data management and archiving.
* Exposure to a wide range of hydrographic surveying operations such as nautical charting, geophysics and geotechnical survey, offshore positioning, construction support and remote operations.
* Use of survey and data‐processing software to support Marine Site Characterisation and Marine Asset Integrity areas.
Qualifications
* Current third‐year or higher student in a Bachelor of Surveying or related program (Curtin University or equivalent).
* Strong interest in a future career in hydrographic surveying.
* Good verbal communication, writing and interfacing skills.
* Strong attention to detail and time‐management ability.
* Teamworking skills.
