About Oakey Health Centre
Oakey Health Centre is located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC), 3 km outside Oakey. It is the training area for Australian Army Aviation and home to the 126 Squadron (Cougar helicopters) of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. With approximately 500 members, the health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, and mental health services. It also serves as an emergency response centre for AAC.
This role is for Monday, Wednesday & Thursday day shifts within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What You'll Do
* Deliver clinical dental services to Defence members
* Provide a full range of general dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning and preventive care
* Undertake procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal care and minor oral surgery
* Promote and maintain oral health through patient education, preventative strategies and ongoing care
* Use diagnostic tools including dental imaging to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning
What You Bring
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist with AHPRA
* Minimum two years' full‐time (or equivalent) post‐graduate clinical experience, with recent practice within the last five years
* Strong clinical capability across a broad range of general dentistry procedures
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
* Australian Citizenship required for baseline security clearance
* Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient‐centred care
