Overview
At ALS the Water Laboratory in Geelong seeks an experienced Client Manager (CRM) to work under the Laboratory Manager and manage major clients in the Australian water testing markets, developing existing business and identifying new opportunities within the Geelong region.
Responsibilities
* Day‐to‐day management of major clients including monitoring and communication with both the business and client stakeholders.
* Develop existing business with environmental clients in the Geelong region.
* Identify future business needs and opportunities for growth.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships through regular communication.
* Project‐management of key client accounts: daily monitoring of work orders and coordination with senior lab production staff.
* Ensure adherence to client‐supplied programme information.
* Compile monthly reporting summarising performance and quality outcomes.
* Actively market laboratory services via telephone and face‐to‐face client contact.
* Prepare quotations, conduct follow‐ups and support tenders and quotes with the client services team.
* Provide technical information and liaison with subcontractors.
* Issue final certificates of analyses after final checks.
* Provide backup support to the team as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in water or environmental laboratory settings.
* Good working knowledge of quality systems policy and procedures including NATA and ISO 9001.
* Tertiary qualification in science or comparable knowledge of major water operations (desirable).
* Strong customer‐service focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional approach, ability to build rapport, and organisational planning skills.
* Demonstrated judgement and problem‐solving abilities.
