This organisation has grown across all Australian states and has a strong management team with a clear vision. Whilst providing an incredible service, managers are commercial-minded, and always looking at opportunities to maximise revenue, manage costs and provide exceptional reporting to drive effective business decisions. You will not be working excessive hours. This role has come about due to an internal promotion with the current Accountant moving into another role within the finance team. This role will provide you with valuable skills to prepare for Senior Accountant roles in future. The Position: This role will ultimately require you to take ownership of the month-end activities and reporting deadlines. You will be responsible for: End-of-month accounting activities including reconciliations, posting journals for various entities across multiple locations Maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet Maintaining fixed asset register Preparing and lodging annual FBT returns Monthly profit and loss reporting as well as variance analysis on profit and loss Your Profile: This role will be an ideal opportunity if: You are currently working for an accounting firm and are keen to make the transition to an organisation where your ideas can be implemented and you can see the ongoing benefits of your hard work Alternatively, you will already have experience working for non-profit or commercial organisations.
