Transform Lives as a Mental Health Practitioner
Anglicare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Supporting Recovery team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health care and wellbeing interventions to client groups experiencing mental health challenges and FDSV (family, domestic, and sexual violence).
* Provide services that are welcoming, accessible, person-centered, culturally safe, and inclusive—embracing First Nations peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and those from CALD backgrounds.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including Catholic Care, Local Care Teams, and community service providers.
* Mentor and support new and less experienced staff, sharing learnings and participating in supervision and professional development.
* Promote the program within the community and participate in partnerships with other mental health and alcohol and other drugs services.
* Ensure quality, risk management, and compliance with organisational standards.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in psychology, counselling, social work, nursing, or a related field.
* Registration with a relevant professional body.
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges and FDSV.
* Experience supporting clients from CALD backgrounds.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence, Police Check, and Working With Children Check.
* Strong teamwork, relationship-building, resilience, and communication skills.
