Due to the growth of our operation, Lynas Rare Earths has a newly created supervisor opportunity for an experienced Processing Supervisor with relevant processing experience at our new Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF).
The Kalgoorlie REPF is a key strategic platform for critical mineral production, blending pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical process in an Australian first, rare earth mineral processing plant.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for a safety driven Processing Supervisor wanting to join us on our journey. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to have major input into leading and motivating their Production workforce to help achieve our production targets in a safe, sustainable and positive way.
This supervisor position may be offered on a FIFO arrangement.
Initially working an altered pattern of Monday to Friday during a brief orientation and familiarisation period, the new team member will then transition to an 8 / 6 / 7 / 7 rotating roster of day and night shift for their allocated crew (12 hour shifts).

Responsibilities
1. Appointed Statutory position of Processing Plant Supervisor
2. The day-to-day management of the processing plant with a team of process technicians as direct reports
3. Ensuring a safe working environment is maintained and that the plant is run to Lynas's standards
4. Identifying and implementing safety and production improvements
5. Completing suitable investigations into any incidents that occur
6. Ensuring operational readiness of the plant from a production and operating perspective
7. Planning, training and diversification of skills for your crew
8. Develop, implement and maintain fit for purpose operating procedures and strategies
9. Take ownership of plant performance and achieve targets
10. Providing support, guidance, mentoring, performance management and direction to your team.
Required skills and experience
11. Unwavering approach to safety leadership
12. Ability to build relationships with key stake holders, such as maintenance, technical and environment personnel to ensure compliant optimum plant performance
13. Experience in an operational processing plant or refinery environment, leading operating teams
14. Experience in Lithium or base metals processing, cracking and leaching, filter press technology is desirable
15. Control room, Isolation, and/or Permit to Work operational experience
16. Prior experience with the operation of heavy mobile machinery (forklifts, telehandler, loaders, skid steer, overhead gantry crane)
17. Strong time management and problem-solving skills
18. Solid soft skills across the Microsoft Suite
19. Completion of WHS units of competency to hold a statutory position
20. Schedule 26 (of WHS Mines Regs) Statutory Supervisor Exam achievement
21. Minimum WA unencumbered C class drivers' license or above.
