The Opportunity:
We're seeking a motivated and reliable Yoghurt Plant Operator to join our production team at our Black Swan site at Clayton South. This role is responsible for operating yoghurt processing equipment, preparing ingredients, monitoring product quality, and ensuring production activities are completed safely and efficiently in line with operational requirements.
We're looking for someone who enjoys a bit of variety in their work. Ideally, you'll be comfortable working day, afternoon, or occasional night shifts, and happy to lend a hand in other areas of the factory when the yoghurt plant is quiet.
The successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining food safety, quality, and production standards while contributing to a positive and high performing team environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate yoghurt processing and mixing equipment in accordance with workplace procedures.
* Prepare and monitor ingredients and production batches to meet production schedules.
* Monitor machine performance and identify or report operational issues.
* Complete production documentation and data recording accurately.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow all workplace safety procedures.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
* Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to support operational outcomes.
* Assist with troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments where required.
Desired Skills and Experience
To Succeed With Us:
* Previous experience as a pasteurizer operator is highly regarded.
* Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, and workplace health & safety practices.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to follow procedures and work with limited supervision.
* Felxibility to work across shifts and support operational requirements where needed.
