Job Title: Network Development Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a talented Network Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining our network infrastructure across multiple global datacenters.
Your primary focus will be on deploying network infrastructure that supports our retail services, Kindle, Payments and multiple AWS services. You will work closely with our automation teams to define tools that enable scalable deployment and operation.
You will have the opportunity to deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global datacenters, including existing footprints and greenfield locations.
Responsibilities
* Deploy network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports our retail services, Kindle, Payments and multiple AWS services.
* Scale the network across multiple global Data Centers.
* Create and improve simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality of delivery.
* Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
* Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.
* Collaborate with automation teams to define tools that enable scalable deployment and operation.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications or similar program graduating within ****.
* Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
* Experience scripting in languages such as Python, Perl or Shell.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals and Routing Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, R&S.
* Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
* Ability to handle ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges and articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking.
