About the Role
Due to internal progression, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and driven Venue Manager to lead the next chapter of the Western Tavern. We're looking for a hands‐on hospitality leader who thrives in fast‐paced environments, knows how to build high‐performing teams, and understands what it takes to run a successful community‐focused venue.
As a Venue Manager, you will take full ownership of the venue's day‐to‐day operations, leading from the front while driving culture, profitability, customer experience, and operational excellence. You'll oversee all aspects of the business, including food & beverage operations, gaming, team leadership, labour management, compliance, and customer engagement while ensuring the venue continues to deliver an outstanding local experience.
Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and inspire a large hospitality team.
* Drive financial performance, profitability, and KPI outcomes.
* Manage labour costs, stock control, and operational efficiencies.
* Deliver exceptional customer experiences across all areas of the venue.
* Build strong relationships within the local community.
* Maintain high standards of presentation, service, and compliance.
* Create a positive, high‐performing team culture.
* Work closely with central support teams across the business.
Qualifications
* Previous venue management experience within pubs, hotels, or large hospitality venues.
* Strong understanding of gaming, food & beverage, and operational management.
* Proven experience leading and developing teams.
* Excellent financial and labour management capability.
* Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
* Strong leadership presence with a hands‐on approach.
* Current RSA, RSG & Approved Manager qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
