Overview
Electrical Service Technician based in Heathwood, Brisbane. You will play a key role in maintaining and supporting a highly automated warehouse and distribution facility for one of our major customers. Working within a skilled on-site service team, you will contribute to safe, reliable operations while developing your technical expertise in advanced automation technology. This position operates on a 12-hour rotating roster (5 days/nights on, 5 days/nights off), offering strong work-life balance and exposure to cutting-edge systems in a unique food-grade environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated electrical, control, and mechanical systems
* Diagnose and resolve faults on live equipment with minimal impact to customer operations
* Support installation, modification, repair, and optimisation of site automation equipment
* Work closely with the Shift Lead to ensure safe execution of daily operational tasks
* Use system data and analytics to improve performance and reliability
* Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and international colleagues
* Operate in compliance with strict safety, hygiene, and food-grade standards
Qualifications
* Electrical Mechanic Licence (or eligibility to obtain one)
* Trade qualification and/or proven experience as a Service Technician (desirable)
* Strong electrical aptitude with exposure to PLCs, automation, or control systems
* Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
* Reliable, safety-focused, and motivated to continually develop technical skills
