We are seeking a motivated and detail‐oriented Rates Officer (Part-time) to support our Corporate & Community Services team. Offering a unique opportunity to learn on the job (if required), this part‐time position will play a key role in administering rate functions while delivering friendly, high‐quality service to our community.
What you'll do:
* Manage the preparation, levy and dispatch of rate notices
* Maintain accurate property and rating records
* Coordinate payments, instalments, and debt recovery processes
* Provide excellent customer service to ratepayers
* Support the finance team during peak periods and leave cover
What you'll bring:
* Strong knowledge of local government rating processes and legislation
* Excellent communication, problem‐solving and customer service skills
* Experience with computerised rating systems and Microsoft applications
* Ability to work efficiently, accurately and collaboratively
