ASCO's core business is providing materials management and logistics services to the Oil & Gas industry. In Western Australia we service our clients through the provision of Supply Base and associated materials management services & logistics services as well as both fixed and mobile camp services.
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, highly motivated, experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, service delivery, and operational performance of our Supply Bases. This role is pivotal in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations that meet client, regulatory and commercial expectations.
What your role at ASCO will look like:
* Lead and manage operational team
* Coach and mentor staff to work as per ASCO's Values, Obsessions and Code of Conduct
* Oversee daily logistics, planning, vessel and freight movements, and operational scheduling
* Ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental, and industry regulatory requirements
* Drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives
* Maintain strong client relationships and ensure service delivery meets all contractual expectations
* Manage workforce planning, resourcing, performance management, and training requirements
* P&L responsibility
* Monitor and report on operational and contractual KPIs
* Coordinate with commercial, HSE, HR, and senior leadership teams to support business goals
* Represent the company in operational meetings, audits, and client engagements
What you can bring to ASCO:
* Demonstrated experience in operations management with supply base, logistics, oil & gas or transport services
* Strong knowledge of safety systems, operational risk management, and regulatory requirements
* Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate diverse teams
* Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability and willingness to travel between Perth and Dongara
* Strong problem‐solving capability and resilience in dynamic operational environments
Minimum qualifications:
* Industry experience in Oil & Gas, mining, renewables and / or 3PL logistics
* Tertiary Qualification in Logistics or similar field
* Forklift Licence (Desirable)
