We are seeking a skilled Aftersales Technician for Melbourne to join and become an integral Cadillac and GMSV team member. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the long-term satisfaction of our customers by providing high-quality aftersales support. You will be completing all vehicle related work, supporting both internal and external customers across a wide range of tasks including pre-delivery, service, and warranty repairs, both on site and at customers' locations using mobile service facilities.
You will work closely with the GM ANZ Aftersales and New Vehicle Sales team to address issues impacting customer satisfaction and internal operations, and implement improvements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Receiving new vehicle deliveries
2. Preparing new vehicles to ensure high customer satisfaction
3. Completing vehicle servicing according to internal standards
4. Diagnosing and repairing vehicles using technical skills and GM processes
5. Providing technical feedback on faults and diagnosis
6. Road testing vehicles to ensure optimal condition
Supporting the Aftersales Manager in delivering exceptional customer experience includes:
1. Customer bookings and vehicle check-in
2. Communicating with customers during service
3. Customer vehicle collection
4. Escalating product issues to relevant departments
This is a 12-month fixed-term position with potential for permanency.
About You:
You possess a strong technical understanding of automotive technologies, including EV systems, and are skilled in diagnostics and repairs. Knowledge of GM vehicle systems is highly regarded but not mandatory.
* Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician or Electrician
* Experience with EVs is highly regarded
* Knowledge of dealer service information, diagnostics, and reprogramming tools
* Experience with GM's technical systems/tools (e.g., Techline Connect, MDI, Tech2, TIS2WEB, SI, GM Global connect)
* Ability to interpret technical information
* Strong problem-solving skills for technical issues
* Valid Driver's license
