Job Description
The Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in providing clinical expertise and support to healthcare professionals and patients in the use and understanding of our products. Responsibilities include delivering training in‑clinic and at events, conducting presentations, and ensuring high quality service in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards across Australia and New Zealand. This is a 12‑month, part‑time contract (3 days per week – Monday to Wednesday).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide in‑depth clinical support and guidance to healthcare professionals and patients to ensure optimal use of Allergan products.
- Assist in improving healthcare professionals’ clinical and communication skills with patients by implementing key learnings into day‑to‑day practice with the on‑label use of the Allergan Aesthetics facial aesthetics portfolio.
- Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials for healthcare providers and internal teams to keep them well‑informed about the latest advancements and product updates.
- Utilise tools and resources to assist in the transfer of knowledge.
- Consultative patient facilitation, assess educational needs, aiming to fill knowledge and skills gaps.
- Tailor specific educational needs of healthcare professionals to address knowledge/skills gaps.
- Apply theory learned online and at events into clinical practice.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and medical teams to incorporate clinical insights and feedback into strategic planning and development.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations at conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nurse trainers, faculty, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals to support brand loyalty and product advocacy.
- Implement strategies and plans to benefit patient outcomes, patient safety, and HCP needs.
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per Allergan’s policies and procedures.
- Participate proactively in AbbVie’s WHS programmes, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment.
- Adhere to Allergan’s and AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
- Perform additional ad‑hoc duties such as administrative tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing is required.
- Experience as an injector in the facial aesthetics arena is preferable but not essential.
- Experience in sales, education, or clinical specialist roles within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or aesthetics industry, or clinical practice experience.
- Experience in training/coaching, including event management, preparation, and delivery of workshops and other training solutions.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills in group and one‑on‑one settings.
- Valid local driver’s licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Flexibility and Availability
