Job Title: Safety and Risk Management Specialist
About the Role:
The Safety and Risk Management Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of employees and the general public. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and maintain effective safety management plans (SMPs) and policies.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain SMPs and policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Coach and mentor personnel to improve safe work cultures and provide guidance on risk management practices.
* Support incident investigation and response efforts to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
* Conduct regular audits and monitoring of safety management systems to identify areas for improvement.
* Maintain currency of knowledge of AQTF standards and training packages to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
* A Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) is essential, along with other relevant certifications.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in health and safety.
