As the Regional Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Katungul's Batemans Bay, Narooma and Bega Aboriginal Health Service clinics. This role is a full-time position and is responsible for line managing all practice administration employees who are located across the three sites. This role leads and manages the practice administrative functions and coordinates day-to-day administrative health service activities. Functioning as the primary point of contact for resolving day-to-day operational issues across each health service, referring clinical matters to the GP/RN team and escalating complex practice concerns requiring strategic decisions to the Clinical Services Manager.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the three clinic sites.
* Coordinate practice wide communication, resource allocation and troubleshooting day-to-day practice level operational issues.
* Build the capability of the practice administration teams at each site.
* Staff development and performance of the practice administration teams.
* Conduct new staff and locum clinical induction and orientation.
* Ensure GPs and visiting providers are supported by reception.
* Maintain practice policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety.
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualifications in Practice Management are essential.
* Eligible for certified Practice Manager (CPM) credentials through the Australian Association of Practice management. (desirable)
* A minimum of two years' experience working in a Practice management role is essential.
* Demonstrated experience in and ability to coordinate services across multiple providers in a busy frontline service is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, establish and monitor systems, processes and procedures to achieve and maintain accreditation is essential.
* Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services, clients and community and providing cultural appropriate care and services.
* Ability to train and mentor new staff in the range of practice administration functions is essential.
* Extensive knowledge of Practice Administration, Medicare and reporting processes in a general practice setting is essential.
* Local Knowledge of health services and referral pathways.
