This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a consistent roster and the chance to build your career with a **global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services**.### **About the Role**As a **Coal Quality Tester**, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Analytical Laboratory. You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality analytical results, meeting turnaround time targets, and maintaining the highest standards in safety, client service, and productivity.### **Day to Day*** Contribute to the development, review, and continual improvement of quality systems and procedures* Perform ship and train sampling* Conduct coal quality and analytical testing, including data recording and validation* Review, verify, and authorise analytical results prior to release* Ensure compliance with Quality Work Instructions and laboratory standards* Process samples efficiently without compromising accuracy or quality* Perform general laboratory duties, including cleaning and maintenance of work areas* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient laboratory environment* Hands on physical work### **Skills, Experience & Qualifications*** Positive attitude and strong work ethic* Ability to perform physical tasks when required* Previous coal quality testing experience advantageous but **not essential*** Ability to successfully pass a **pre-employment medical*** Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong customer service focus and proactive, solutions-based approach* High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards**Working at ALS**The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, you'll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
