Lead and manage the financial operations of property development business of SDP Australia with a strong focus on project finance, feasibility, funding support, and commercial decision-making.Job ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial outputsOversee month-end closing, management reporting, and cash flow forecastingEnsure robust financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks are in place and continuously improvedProject Finance & Commercial SupportSupport and review project feasibility models, including sensitivity analysis on costs, pricing, and returnsProvide financial insights on key metrics such as GDV, NDP, and cash flow to support decision-makingWork closely with development and project teams on budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performanceStrategic & Business Partnering RoleAct as a key finance partner to the BU Head, providing proactive financial advice and recommendationsTranslate financial data into meaningful insights to support business strategy and project outcomesIdentify risks and opportunities early, and propose practical solutionsFunding, Valuation & External Stakeholder ManagementSupport financing activities including lender engagement, financial information preparation, and reporting requirementsCoordinate with valuers, auditors, tax advisors, and other external consultantsAssist in equity/debt raising initiatives and financial structuring exercisesCompliance, Tax & Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with all statutory requirements including BAS, GST, and tax obligationsSupport structuring considerations (e.g. GST treatment, going concern, margin scheme where relevant)Manage audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit mattersTeam Leadership & Capability BuildingSupervise and mentor junior finance team membersReview work outputs and ensure high standards of quality and accuracyFoster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvementIdentify and implement improvements in financial systems, reporting, and workflowsEnhance efficiency and scalability of finance processes to support business growthEducation/ Professional QualificationDegree in Accounting/Commerce/Business or relevant qualificationsProfessional Experience8–12 years' experience in finance/accounting, with exposure to property development or similar industriesProven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take full ownership of responsibilitiesStrong initiative and proactive mindset, able to identify issues and drive solutionsReliable and dependable team player with strong interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience in feasibility analysis, project accounting, or development finance is highly regardedComfortable operating in a lean, evolving business environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
