Job Description
Blue Horizon Migration Pty Ltd seeks an experienced WAITER (Supervisor) to join our Little Iris Cafe team. You will report directly to the Café Manager and all other Front of House staff will report to you.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the restaurant is operated in compliance with all relevant legislation including employment, work safe and liquor licensing.
* Patron care and management, conflict resolution.
* Meet daily targets as set out by the model.
* Stock control and create/adjust rosters.
* Supervise food and beverage services, create daily timesheets, take payments, operate point of sales system, balance cash registers.
* Use Nowbookit reservations, take bookings, answer phone, supervise, train and coordinate food and beverage staff.
* Liaise with head chef for seasonal menu changes and specials.
* Ensure customers are served professionally and timely; educate staff on food, wine and pairing.
* Support waitstaff: greet and seat guests, pour water and serve menus.
* Set tables according to bookings, serve food and drinks, recommend drinks to complement food.
* Take orders, pass to kitchen and bar.
* Clear tables, return dishes and cutlery to kitchen; remove empty bottles and glasses; refill and replace glasses, open bottles and pour beverages.
* Keep the restaurant clean.
* Practice correct workplace health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Minimum qualification: AQF or equivalent Certificate II or III in Hospitality, or at least one year full time (38 hours per week) experience in a similar leadership role.
Benefits
Full time, salaried position, 38 hours per week, 5 days per week. Annual salary of $69,000 + superannuation.
