About the role:
Murrumbidgee Local Health District are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented candidates ready to kick start their Perioperative career with our team at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate medical students to get firsthand experience and a look into the behind-the-scenes of our Perioperative suites.
What you'll be doing:
Preparing and setting up operating theatre equipment and areas before and after procedures
Cleaning and sanitising floors, equipment, and furniture to maintain strict infection control standards
Safely removing and disposing of soiled linen, waste, and other materials
Restocking essential supplies and equipment to ensure theatres are ready for use
Assisting with the transport equipment and specimens
Assisting with the transport of patients along with transfers, positioning, prepping and/ or restraining of patients
Supporting the team in maintaining a safe, organised, and hygienic environment throughout the operating suite
