What de Jonge Read actually does
DJRA helps directors and business owners through some of the toughest financial times of their lives. We do more than advise – we guide, support, and walk alongside them with empathy and clarity.
The kind of person we think will thrive in this role
* You enjoy variety and you are comfortable with responsibility.
* You like people but you love numbers.
* You can see the big picture and understand that if dominoes fall in one place they impact others elsewhere.
* Your career probably started in bookkeeping, accounting or finance but you have become a Swiss‐Army Knife of business administration.
* You are organised without being rigid, warm without being a pushover, and can juggle multiple priorities while keeping sight of the big picture.
* You get a buzz from ticking things off to‐do lists and systemising repetitive tasks.
* You prefer working in a founder‐led or family‐run business with minimal red‐tape and the ability to get things done quickly.
* You get energy from helping others and finishing things; in Working Genius terms you are a "Loyal Finisher".
* You are humble enough to know there is always something new to learn.
* You feel drained when you spend too much time reinventing the wheel or acting as a cheerleader for people who lack motivation.
What you'll be doing day‐to‐day
* You will be based at our Loganholme HQ and work alongside the Managing Director, the Bookkeeper and Receptionist.
* You will review financial reports and liaise with external accountants.
* You will coordinate with our external IT support team.
* You will attend meetings as required.
* You will oversee office administration, financial administration and payroll oversight, onboarding administration for new employees, and IT support coordination through our MSP.
* You will be supported by the Receptionist, the Bookkeeper and external Accountants, but you are the one overseeing it all.
Qualifications & Non‐Negotiables
* Commercial acumen.
* Experience managing at least one other person.
* Bookkeeping or finance admin experience.
* Confidence using Xero.
* Professionalism and discretion.
* Ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
* Experience in HR, office operations, onboarding, payroll or IT coordination is a plus, but not essential.
What's in it for you
* We are a small company, so you won't have to worry about corporate clichés, red‐tape or office politics.
* We have three offices nationally, giving you opportunities to grow within a larger network.
* You'll enjoy working for us if you value old‐fashioned principles and traditional ways of doing things.
* As a member of the leadership team you'll influence systems, improve processes and help create a positive culture across the business.
* A well‐established, stable business with a clear PD.
* Onboarding by our current Office Manager.
* Annual salary of $100,000 plus superannuation.
